IREDD Develops Forest Monitoring Tools for NUCFMB

Monrovia, April 2020

As part of its capacity support to the National Union of Community Forest Management Bodies, (NUCFMBs), IREDD has developed forest monitoring tools to be used by Independent Forest Monitors stationed in forest communities to track governance issues in the management of forest resources. The tools are designed to track four major components of community forest management: implementation of Community Forest Management Plans (CFMPs), Benefit Sharing Mechanisms, the level of technical support provided by the Forest Development Authority and CFMBs accounting & reporting procedures.
