We are doing so through the seven (7) various initiatives below:

- Accountability in the Legislature
- Natural Resource Utilization
- Researching the attainmnet of good governance
Coexistence and peace are two fundamental pillars of a just and equitable society. However, achieving them is not an easy task, as conflicts and tensions often arise due to differences in race, ethnicity, religion, culture, and ideology. Our programs and activities help people in live in harmony and peace, they can work together to address social, economic, and environmental challenges facing their communities. This cooperation can lead to the creation of jobs, access to education and healthcare, and the improvement of living standards. In contrast, when conflicts and tensions persist, they can hinder progress and exacerbate poverty, inequality, and environmental degradation.
Promoting coexistence and peace is critical to our mission because it enhances social cohesion and strengthens democracy. When people from diverse backgrounds can live together peacefully, they develop mutual respect, understanding, and tolerance for each other's differences. This tolerance and respect translate into stronger democratic institutions that can better address the needs and interests of all citizens, regardless of their ethnicity, religion, or social status.
Democratic elections are a cornerstone of a functioning democracy. They provide citizens with a voice and a choice in selecting their leaders and holding them accountable. In West Africa, where democracy is still fragile, democratic elections are critical for promoting stability, peace, and development. It is vital for us in supporting democratic elections in West Africa by, election monitoring, and civic engagement.
One of the key roles of IREDD in promoting democratic elections in West Africa is to provide elections awareness messages and engage elections bodies to ensure that elections are free and fair. Many citizens in the region are illiterate and may not fully understand the democratic process or their rights as voters. IREDD have organized workshops, seminars, and training programs that help citizens understand the importance of their vote and how to exercise it. These programs can also help citizens understand the consequences of choosing leaders who do not have their best interests at heart.
National elections are the cornerstone of democracy. They provide citizens with the opportunity to choose their leaders and hold them accountable for their actions. However, the conduct of national elections is not always free and fair. There may be issues such as voter intimidation, election fraud, or media bias that can undermine the legitimacy of the electoral process. In this context, IREDD plays a crucial role in monitoring national elections as a member of the Elections Coordinating Committee in Liberia to ensure that they are conducted fairly and transparently.

Core Values
Participation
At our core, participation means actively involving beneficiaries, community members, and stakeholders in the development and delivery of our organization’s programs and services. This involvement can take many forms, including consultations, surveys, focus groups, community meetings, and participatory workshops.
Openness, Transparency and Accountability
Openness, transparency, and accountability promote trust and credibility in an NGO’s work. They also help to ensure that we are working effectively towards our goals and we remain accountable to the people we serve, as well as to our supporters and partners.
Justice
Because we prioritize justice, we work to empower marginalized and vulnerable communities by providing access to education, healthcare, legal aid, and other services. We also advocate for policy and legal reforms that promote human rights and social justice, and work to hold governments, corporations, and other institutions accountable for their actions and impact.
Sustainability
We are deeply involved with balancing economic, social, and environmental considerations in the development and implementation of programs and services. We prioritize sustainability to ensure that illegal activities do not contribute to environmental degradation, and that they promote social and economic development in a way that is environmentally sustainable.
Gender Sensitivity / Inclusiveness
We recognize that individuals and groups have different experiences and needs based on their gender identity, and ensuring that these differences are acknowledged and addressed in a respectful and equitable manner. This involves promoting equal access to opportunities, resources, and services for all genders, as well as working to eliminate harmful gender stereotypes and biases that can contribute to discrimination and exclusion.
Equity and Equality for All
We treat everyone the same and ensure that all individuals and groups have the same access to opportunities, resources, and services. This involves removing barriers that prevent individuals from accessing these opportunities, and working to eliminate discrimination and prejudice based on factors such as race, gender, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation.
Integrity/Mutual Respect
We are honest and transparent in all of our activities, and ensuring that all decisions and actions are based on ethical principles and values. This includes upholding high standards of professionalism, avoiding conflicts of interest, and being accountable for the impact of an organization’s work.
Socio-political and Cultural Identities
We support various groups and communities that individuals belong to based on factors such as race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, and gender. We respect the values, beliefs, practices, and traditions that shape the way people live and interact with one another.
