IREDD concludes two days joint DPD Conference in Monrovia

IREDD concludes two days joint DPD Conference in Monrovia held from 1 – 3, December 2016 at the Corina Hotel, Liberia. The event which was aimed at, Linking local peacebuilders in the Mano River regions was organized under theme “local peace builders rethinking sustaining border community security in Mano River border regions”. The two days event brought together 35 persons from Liberia, Guinea, Serra Leone and Cote d’Ivoire and facilitated the space for shared information regarding the achievements and challenges during the its MRR project implementation and to use this collective learning to inform future best practice and as well as enabled DPDs, partner NGO staff and Conciliation Resources to conduct participatory conflict analyses to identify critical areas where they could intervene in the future.
The key outcome of the event was that DPDs and partner NGOs in the MRU region articulate key policy messages for dialogue with the Regional policy actors.
